KBUT is located at the intersection of Fifth Street and Maroon Ave. in Crested Butte, Colorado. We are next door to the Old Rock Library and Crested Butte Town Hall. We welcome the public and can usually accommodate studio tours.

Board of Directors:
The KBUT Board of Directors is comprised of seven volunteer members. Their duties include hiring and evaluating the general manager, developing and implementing a long-range, strategic plan outlining the goals and objectives of the station, fundraising and fiscal accountability. Terms are for two years. Members are elected by the membership at the Annual Members’ Meeting held every year on the second Saturday of January. The board holds a regular meeting every other month, and meetings are open to the public.

Community Advisory Board:
The Community Advisory Board is comprised of volunteers who perform the following activities: review KBUT's programming, service and significant policy decisions; advise the staff and Board of Directors as to whether KBUT is meeting the educational and cultural needs of its listeners; and act as a link to listeners.
CAB members shall be demographically diverse and reasonably representative of the diverse needs and interests of the communities served by KBUT. CAB members shall not also be KBUT Volunteer DJ's or members of the Board of Directors. The CAB is self-appointing and self-governing.
The CAB holds meetings, open to the public, at least 4 times per year. The role of the CAB is solely advisory in nature, and members do not have the authority to exercise any control over the daily management or operation of the station.
