Valentine's Day, Thursday, February 14th - Mountain Roots' Farm to School hosts the monthly Local Foods Lunch featuring Parker Pastures local beef. Local Foods Days are usually the third Thursday of every month, and every item on the lunch tray is either local, fresh, organic, or homemade. You can support our kids, Farm to School, and local foods by joining the students for lunch. Adult lunches are $4.25. Please call 641-7720 and let them know you're planning to attend. Volunteers are needed to pass out stickers and talk to kids about eating local. Please contact Margaret Loperfido margaret@sprout-studio.net if you are able to volunteer between 11 and 1.
Local Foods Day Menu:
Beefy Noodles (Homemade with local Parker Pastures beef)
Roll (Local, Homemade)
Salad Greens
Cucumber Slices
Orange smiles
Milk
For the months of February and March ALL lunches that include ground beef will be using Parker Pastures beef!
