Lead King Loop Charity Races
Add to your calendar
Date: September 15, 8:30 am
Continues Until:
Location: Marble, Co
Details: This is our 10th year of running the 25k and signature race.  This challenging course  starts at the Beaver Lake Lodge in Marble.  After a half mile warmup around the often misty lake, runners begin the 4 mile, 3000 foot climb into Lead king basin.  From here you will stay high for a few miles (see video) then drop down into the old mining town of Crystal.  Pass the historic Crystal Mill which some say is the most photographed site in Colorado and numerous waterfalls as you follow the Crystal River back to Marble.

The12.5k up and down course winds through Marble before a short trail through huge blocks of Marble and the historic mill site.  Crossing the Crystal River you begin to climb 1200 feet in the next 3 miles to the top of Yule Creek.  You will pass through beautiful aspen groves, have great views of Treasure Mountain then turn around and scream back to the finish line.
