Colorado is increasingly designating rights to streams themselves as rivers and drought continues to shrink water supplies.
Blue Mesa is threatened by a two-decade-long drought and downstream obligations.
The reservoir provides recreation like boating and fishing, powers thousands of homes through hydroelectricity, and stores water for Lake Powell and other downstream users. The reservoir is critically low, and it’s possible water levels may be lowered even further.

20th Anniversary Friday Night Fish Fry Dinner
Join KBUT for the 20th Anniversary Friday Night Fish Fry dinner with special guests, Brother$ of Bras$ band, on Friday, June 17th, 4pm-9pm. Enjoy a Cajun style Fish Fry dinner, lawn games, KBUT’s Summer Raffle, and a special musical performance at Crank’s Plaza by the Brother$ of Bras$ band followed by two sets of late night music a the Public House!

Schedule:
4pm-8pm: Fish Fry dinner at Crank’s plaza, 508 Maroon Ave, Crested Butte.
8:30pm-9pm: Raffle drawing & Brother$ of Bras$ special musical performance
9pm-late: Brother$ of Bras$ perform two sets at the Public House, 202 Elk Ave.
Menu:
Dinner includes fried catfish, crawfish beignets, red beans & rice with Andouille sausage, coleslaw, cornbread, and cookies! (Vegetarian beans are available.)
Food generously provided by Andrew Hadley & Kyle Ryan, Creative Catering, Sodexo, The Breadery, and The Last Steep!
Beer will be provided by Irwin Brewing and Margaritas provided by Suerte Tequila and Stripped Mixers. N/A drinks will be available for purchase.
*Please bring your own plate, fork, & cup OR purchase ones at event. In efforts to reduce landfill waste, we are moving away from the use of disposable items.

$50-Fish Fry dinner ticket and B.O.B. at Public House performance ticket (21+)
$20- Adult Fish Fry dinner ticket
$15- Kids 12 and under Fish Fry dinner ticket
$35- Brother$ of Bras$ at Public House performance ticket (21+)
For the Brother$ of Bras$ at Public House performance, you can either purchase the combined ticket that includes the Fish Fry dinner (and save $5) or purchase just the $35 performance ticket. This performance is a 21+over show and IDs will be required at the Fish Fry and the Public House to pick up your tickets.
