Bonnie Petito Chlipala has volunteered as DJ at KBUT since it’s first days on the air. Today, Tuesday, Nov. 26 is her last show. She sat down with KBUT’s Christopher Biddle to talk about the early days of the station, her tenure as station manager, and what makes a good song.
We have listened to Bonnie since moving to Crested Butte in 2006, and her show quickly became our favorite. Plus we’re sure to have heard her in the wayback when visiting CB over the past 4 decades.
Her music, knowledge, stories and family shows are legendary.
Thank you, Bonnie, and best wishes for a continuing wonderful life!
Dear KBUT, Sunday with the Beatles was one of my favorite shows and I look forward to it. I am so glad I caught this little interview tonight and I wish I would’ve known it was Bonnie‘s last show today so I could’ve tune in. Thank you Bonnie for getting the radio down in Gunnisin since Andi and I live here now. And thank you Ronnie for all the years that you’ve been part of our community radio and also playing wonderful music that I listen to so many days. Thank you for making my life even better with love Andrea Heller Albershardt
Bonnie is a Crested Butte treasure. I remember Beatles for Breakfast back in the day.
That she is…
