The Gunnison Valley, Colorado and the American West will see significant population growth by 2050, increasing demand for water. At the same time, climate change could mean more frequent, longer-lasting droughts in the high country, shrinking water supply. Frank Kugel and George Sibley from the Upper Gunnison River Water Conservancy District discuss the River District’s efforts in planning for such a future.
