But that hasn’t stopped city and county planners from looking at how codes could be changed to reduce wildfire impacts. Gunnison County officials recently hosted experts from across North America to apply the latest wildfire research to the valley.
The GVRHA has approved the final draft of a plan to address affordable housing in the Gunnison Valley. And the Gunnison Sheriffs Department and the Mount Crested Butte Police Department have agreed to patrol the North Gunnison Valley.
