KBUT Seeks a Development Coordinator
KBUT is hiring a Development Coordinator. Seeking a self-motivated and highly organized individual with a passion for community broadcasting, who works well with a small staff of mission dedicated professionals. Supports the Development Team in retaining, cultivating, and growing KBUT’s extensive fundraising efforts. The Development Coordinator plays a major role in KBUT’s Membership relationship management, including preparation, execution, and follow through for bi-annual on-air Pledge Drives. Assists in all other KBUT fundraising efforts and events. Tasks also include general office administration, database management, and general representation of KBUT in the community. Preferred candidates will have experience in nonprofit fundraising and a background in community broadcasting.
This is a full-time position based in the KBUT Studios in Crested Butte. Reports to the Development Director. Local candidates preferred. Development Coordinator Job Description
Reports to the Development Director. Works closely with the Development Director and Executive Director to retain, cultivate, and grow KBUT’s extensive fundraising efforts which include but are not limited to: individual donors, business sponsorships, underwriting
, and foundational grants.
Administrative tasks include checking/sorting mail, routing emails, processing payments, maintaining office equipment and supplies, answering phones, assisting the public (gift processing, lost and found, pet patrol), placing advertisements in the newspapers, and being a regular presence in the office.
Development related activities, including co-management of donor database in Salesforce, generating newsletters (via email and US Mail), and managing inventory of thank you gifts.
There will be a leadership role during twice annual two-week long on-air Pledge Drives, one in Summer, one in Winter. Will be expected to speak on the air and pitch during pledge drive. Will assist during KBUT events and engagement opportunities.
Basic graphic design experience a plus.
Previous experience working for a nonprofit is a plus.
Previous radio experience a plus. Possible opportunities for radio production.
Skills: Administrative and office skills. Printing, cutting, and pasting. Attention to detail is a must. Highly organized and motivated individual. Works well with deadlines and schedules. In-office job, not a remote position. Ability to work independently, while maintaining weekly check-ins with the supervisor to account for tasks and progress.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Google Mail, and a donor management system. Specific systems used: Salesforce, Adobe Indesign, and Mailchimp.
