Renowned journalist Miles O’Brien will be in Crested Butte this Friday, Sept. 19, for a presentation on the value of field stations in scientific research. He’s doing this in support of our local research field station, the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory. Mr. O’Brien’s visit was sponsored by the Organization of Biological Field Stations (OBFS). He was kind enough to join us for a chat on The West Elk Word in advance of his visit.
