US Highway 50 remains closed at the Middle Bridge crossing Blue Mesa Reservoir, approximately 24 miles west of the City of Gunnison. The bridge is closed indefinitely to all traffic in both directions due to defects observed during a CDOT inspection.
The County Road 26 bypass is now open as a detour route two times per day in each direction for critical local public travel. Detour route information is available at gunnisoncounty.org.
